Ideas and Inspiration

We ask the artists and artisans of The Collective what inspires them.


At The Joy of Harvest, their preserves grew from a desire to capture childhood memories and flavours - the taste of ginger, spice and fiery pepper.

The artisans at The Gild were looking for a way to combine their love of cycling and craft. A trip to Rwanda, where bicycles have festive decorations, sparked the idea of making their fanciful seat covers. ( images above)


At Egan at Large, the silver rings of the ocean series were inspired by the beach and hearing the rumble of the waves. (image below)
